Hempseed Oil Meusli Bars
These muesli bars are a delicious and nutritious snack that's perfect for on-the-go snacking. The hempseed oil adds a nutty flavor and boosts the omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acid content of the bars. You can also experiment with other nuts, fruits, and flavors to create your own custom muesli bar recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Rolled Oats
- 1 Cup Chopped mixed nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts, etc.)
- 1/2 Cup Dried Fruit (raisins, cranberries, chopped apricots, etc.)
- 1/4 Cup Hempseed Oil
- 1/4 Cup Honey
- 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan with cooking spray or butter.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, chopped nuts, and dried fruit.
- In a small saucepan, combine the hempseed oil, honey, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
- Pour the hempseed oil mixture over the oat and nut mixture and stir until everything is well coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the greased baking pan and press it down evenly using a spatula or the back of a spoon.
- Bake the muesli bars for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove the pan from the oven and let the bars cool completely before slicing them into squares or bars.
- Store the muesli bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
